During our enchanting stay in Heraklion, Crete, we had the delightful pleasure of dining at Herb’s Garden, a gem of a restaurant nestled on Epimenidou Street. This charming rooftop eatery offers a cozy retreat with its serene ambiance and breathtaking views of the Venetian port and fortress.

Herb’s Garden specializes in Mediterranean, European, and Greek cuisine, and every dish we savored there was a testament to the freshness and quality of their ingredients. The olive pasta and beef in a very tasty sauce was a standout—delicious and perfectly cooked. The Cretan salad was another highlight, showcasing the freshness and vibrant flavors of local produce.

The atmosphere of Herb’s Garden significantly enhanced our dining experience. Despite its proximity to the bustling harbor and heart of the city, the restaurant offers a serene dining environment, making it a perfect spot for both lunch and dinner. The service matched the quality of the food—efficient, professional, yet warm and personal, thanks to the wonderful staff including Elena and Gina, who went over and beyond to ensure our dining experience was the best.

Each meal was complemented by a selection of wines suggested by the knowledgeable staff, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our meals. The polite and attentive service, coupled with the outstanding food and the charming location, made Herb’s Garden a place we returned to multiple times during our stay.
