During our visit to Heraklion, Crete, we had the delightful experience of dining at Merastri, a highly acclaimed restaurant known for its Mediterranean, Greek, and healthy cuisine. Nestled in a charming location on Chrisostomou 17, Merastri offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a memorable meal.

Our dining experience began with traditional Cretan appetizers, including zucchini flowers and the popular Skioufichta, a local pasta dish that was both flavorful and expertly prepared.

For the main course, we opted for the lamb chops and the goat stew, both of which were exceptional. The lamb chops were tender and perfectly seasoned, while the goat stew was rich and hearty, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. Each dish was accompanied by fresh salads and house-made bread, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal.
