During our vacation in Elounda, Crete, we had the pleasure of dining at Olondi Restaurant, located on the harbor front. Our experience at this highly acclaimed eatery was nothing short of spectacular, making it clear why it’s the top-rated restaurant in the area.

As soon as we arrived, we were struck by the restaurant’s beautiful seaside location, offering stunning views of the harbor. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing meal, and the traditional Greek decor added to the charm. The staff welcomed us warmly, and their friendly, attentive service set the tone for the evening.

To start, we ordered the saganaki and courgette with tzatziki. Both dishes were superb, with the saganaki perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, and the courgette fresh and flavorful. For our main course, we opted for the tomahawk steak for two, a recommendation from many reviews we had read. The steak was enormous, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying potatoes and vegetables were equally delightful.

One of the standout aspects of our meal was the seafood. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite. We particularly enjoyed the seafood risotto, which was beautifully seasoned and included a generous portion of prawns, mussels, clams, and a scallop, all cooked to perfection. My partner’s swordfish was another highlight, tender and full of flavor.

Throughout our meal, our waiter, Kostas, provided excellent service, despite the restaurant being busy. His attention to detail and warm hospitality enhanced our dining experience. The entire staff worked seamlessly together, ensuring that every guest felt special.

We were so impressed with our lunch that we returned for dinner a few days later. This time, we tried the mussels with garlic and the shrimp, which were as large as our hands and incredibly delicious. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently outstanding on both visits.
