Sofra

We had the pleasure of dining at Sofra, a charming restaurant nestled in the historic old town. Known for its Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, Sofra offers a delightful dining experience that combines traditional flavors with a welcoming atmosphere.

We started our meal with baked aubergine and courgette fritters, both of which were cooked to perfection. The aubergine was soft and flavorful, while the fritters were crispy and light, setting the tone for the rest of our dining experience.

For the main course, we chose the lamb shank and calamari. The lamb shank was incredibly tender, falling off the bone, and richly flavored with a well-balanced sauce. The calamari was fresh and perfectly cooked, maintaining a delicate texture that was complemented by a hint of lemon. Both dishes showcased the culinary expertise of the chef and left us thoroughly satisfied.

We were also treated to a complimentary dessert and a glass of raki, a traditional Cretan spirit, which was a delightful way to conclude our meal.
