The Gorge of Samaria, nestled in the heart of Chania’s rugged landscape, offered us an unforgettable trekking experience. Declared a National Park in 1962, this gorge is a sanctuary for the endangered species of kri-kri, the Cretan wild goat, among other endemic flora and fauna.
