However, by late August, the winds subsided, revealing the tranquil, crystal-blue waters that make Xerokampos a coveted spot for relaxation and leisure. The local celebration of the traditional feast (panigiri) in honor of Saint John on August 29th offered a glimpse into the cultural fabric of the area.
